Join us for our weekend trip to Brittany, perfect for first time abroad biking or for getting you in the mood for the 2013 biking season. With a Friday teatime departure to Sunday night return you don’t even need time off work.
Assemble at Vines Guildford showroom at 18h00 for the run down to Portsmouth to board the Brittany Ferries at 20h15 Portsmouth to St Malo sailing. Twin berth outside cabins with private facilities pre booked, single occupancy may be possible at an additional cost. Relax on board, enjoy a meal or a drink in the bar (first drink on Ricky) before a good night’s sleep arriving in St Malo at 8h15.
Saturday is spent exploring the Brittany countryside at a leisurely pace with coffee and lunch stops by group agreement. Plan to reach hotel by 16h00. Total mileage for the day 200 miles.
Saturday night in twin rooms again with an en suite in a pleasant three star hotel in a lovely medieval town. Wander round the town and either eat in one of the many restaurants or walk down via the cobbled streets to the river and try one of the restaurants there. A fairly steep walk back…helps burn the calories off.
Sunday we ride to Le Mont Saint Michel for a wander and a coffee, maybe lunch if we’re late leaving the hotel, then ride minor rodes to Cherbourg for the 18h45 sailing to Poole with Brittany Ferries arriving 22h00.
Head back towards Guildford peeling off on route for home. Total mileage for the day in France 128 miles.
Cost of trip to include Brittany Ferries crossing with motorbike, shared twin cabin on outward trip, group cabin homebound and shared hotel room with breakfast and private parking is £245 per person.
